October – November 2019

The following activities and classes are offered for the enjoyment of Chickasaw residents and their families. We are offering a wide range of activities for all ages, which we hope will meet the recreational needs of the community.

Fees:  Class fees are kept to a minimum.  No refunds will be considered after the second meeting.

Registration: You may register for any activity at Charles E. McConnell Civic Center. To register by telephone please call 452-6462/452-6467.  Register early to ensure your place.

Scary Night Full Moon Kayak Paddle

Youth Scavenger Hunt
Ages 5-13 fun at Bill Brooks Park.
Teams will explore the park while enjoying a competitive contest with new friends. Snacks will be served. Meet at Picnic area. Call to register 452-6462

Children’s Halloween Costume Parade
Saturday Oct 26th, registration begins at
9am and costume judging at 9:30 am Chickasaw Elementary School.
Ages 0-12 (Three Age Divisions)
Will Parade to Millers Park for refreshments, announcement of contest winners and Chickasaw’s Founders Day. Call for details 452-6467
Please consider setting up table to pass out treats to contestants along the route.

Alabama Cottage Food Law Course
Course offers individuals the opportunity to produce certain nonhazardous foods in their homes to sale. Great for schools, festivals and local market vendors. Details: 452-6467

Chickasaw Celebrates our Veterans
Let’s celebrate our Veteran’s at the City Maritime Park. Friday, November 8th at 2pm. Help us show our appreciation for the men and women who have served our great country.

Lighting of the Community Christmas Tree
Let’s bring in the Christmas season at Millers Park with plans to light our new Community Christmas Tree at 6:30 pm Friday November 22. Santa will arrive at 5:30 pm with many special activities during the evening. Bring your cameras for making memories of family traditions.

Community Thanksgiving Service
Let’s give Thanks together Sunday Nov. 24 at Chickasaw First Baptist Church 6:30 pm
